Subatomic Systems, Inc., d/b/a Storied (“Storied”, "us", "we", or "our") operates http://www.storied.co and https://n2ps.storied.co (collectively, the "Site") which includes a set of web applications for creating, publishing and measuring websites, ads and other interactive experiences (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.

2. Types of personal information Storied collects
— Account information: for example, email address, first and last name, user picture.
— Emails sent to the Storied support team (firstname.lastname@example.org) and any communication history.
— Information shared with us when participating in our promotion programs, opinion polls, surveys, and contests.
— Newsletter preferences: information provided by our mail service provider.
— Information acquired when viewing Storied or Users’ Sites: IP addresses, web pages visited before coming to Storied.co or sites created by Storied customers, specification of your browser (type, version), device’s operating system, internet service provider, language and other regional settings.
— Information on how you interact with Storied and our Users’ Sites: clicks, scrolling, browsing times, timestamps, load times, searches, transactions, referral pages, and problems you may encounter, such as loading or publishing errors.
— Information we receive from our marketing and advertising partners to measure the effectiveness of advertisements and improve Storied's messaging accordingly.
— Other information you submit to us directly.
3. Methods by which Storied collects personal information
We acquire users’ personal information directly. For instance, when registering or modifying an account with Storied we receive your name, email, location, and profile photo. To help solve technical issues we store all emails exchanged with our support team (email@example.com). You can provide us with your personal information in additional ways, too – for instance when participating in our contests and surveys.
To boost the performance of Storied.co and improve user experience we analyse users’ behaviour with Storied Analytics. When using Storied.co we track your activity; for example, web pages visited before coming to Storied.co, specification of your browser (type, version), device (operating system, unique device IDs), etc.
4. Storied uses personal information:
— To create and manage your Storied account, provide Services and personalize them according to your preferences.
— To communicate with you. We send service-related emails, such as transaction information, project publishing, project view details, and collaborators information. We also respond to your requests, and provide technical support.
— To promote Storied and provide personalized marketing opportunities. We may share information about new features, partnerships, products, and discounts. We also measure the effectiveness of such communications.
— To advertise Storied. We analyze your activities at Storied.co and Third-Parties’ online services to create personalized ads. For example, we may create social media communications according to your subscription preferences, or decide not to display ads if you’re already enrolled in a paid subscription.
— To carry out opinion polls, surveys, contests.
— To refine Storied.co. We analyze how you and other users implement Storied to improve our service and create new features and products. For the same reasons, we monitor the efficacy of our ads. For these purposes we do not focus on you individually, but on pseudonymised, anonymous information. Example: if we discover that our users download the same custom font frequently we may choose to add it to our font gallery.
— To provide security within our services.
— To protect our and our users’ interests, rights and property.
— To provide relationships with third parties which are integrated with Storied and provide services within Storied.co.
— To enforce Storied's Terms of Service and other legal terms and policies.
— To comply with law and such legal requirements, such as tax, standards, government regulations, and law enforcement requests.
5. Storied processes personal information:
— To provide Services requested by you, or to respond to your inquiries. For example, to create an account at Storied we require your email.
— To comply with laws and government regulations.
— To protect our and yours legitimate interests. For example, to develop and promote our business we track activity on our Site and provide personalized advertising and communications. We also anonymize and subsequently use anonymized information.
6. Storied shares personal information:
— To enable service providers to process on Storied's behalf. We integrate Third Parties with Storied to provide data storage and customer support, manage marketing and advertising activities on other platforms and web pages.
— To advertise Storied. We may share personal information with Third Parties in order to provide personalized communications and monitor the efficacy of advertisements. For instance we may share your email with a Third Party so that our partner’s social media platform won’t display Storied ads to you, as you are already a Storied user.
— We disclose personal information when it is unavoidable to protect our or our Users’ rights, property, or interests. The same is applicable if it is unavoidable to comply with the law. In such circumstances we may disclose personal information upon legitimate public authorities’ request.
— Personal data may be transferred as part of a business deal, such as a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale. In such cases we will inform users in advance via email or message at Storied.co.
7. Rights and choices
We respect your right to access, update, change, delete personal information, and restrict data processing. You can make changes either directly in your account or by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Although some changes may occur immediately, information may still be stored in a web browser’s cache. We take no responsibility for stored information in a cache, or in other devices that may store information, and disclaim all liability of such.
Please note we also retain personal information to comply with the law, protect our and others’ rights, resolve disputes, or enforce our legal terms or policies, to the extent permitted under applicable law.
You can withdraw your consent to data proсessing at any time and free of charge. To do so contact us at email@example.com. Please note that such a withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before your consent withdrawal.

If you are an End User of one of our user’s Sites you should contact them to exercise your rights with respect to any information they hold about you.
8. Personal information protection
While no digital service is completely secure, we follow industry best practices to ensure that personal information is protected. Storied has a security team that is responsible for keeping personal information safe. Storied maintains physical, technical, and administrative safeguards designed to prevent users from accidental or unlawful forms of processing of personal information. We use SSL Certificates and firewalls to enhance the security of our Site and Services.
9. Personal information retention
We retain personal information for as long as a user’s Storied account is active or for as long as needed to provide you or Storied users with our Services. Personal information is retained for as long as necessary to achieve said purposes; for example, to comply with legal obligations.
The specific period that we keep your personal information varies depending on the nature of the information and why it’s needed. Factors considered in determining such periods include:

— a way the personal information was gathered and the way it is retained (aggregated or pseudonymized)

10. Personal information transfers
Please be sure that all Third Parties that help us retain and process your personal information are trusted in non-EU states, share the same principles of data protection regulation as us, and ensure an adequate level of user protection.
11. Your relationship with End Users
(with your site visitors, customers, subscribers and readers)
Storied users who have created projects at Storied.co are fully responsible for what personal information they collect from End Users – either directly or through Storied—and how they use it.
Please note that you are solely responsible for complying with laws and regulations applying to your collection, use, and retention of End Users’ information. This includes personal information about End Users collected from us, Storied, or via Storied Services or cookies or similar technologies. Make sure you have published your own privacy and cookie policies and comply with them.
Storied is not responsible for your relationship with End Users or the way you collect and retain personal information about them. This is applicable even if you’ve used Storied Services for collecting personal information. We do not provide legal advice regarding such matters.
This paragraph is relevant if there’s an embedded payment form in your Storied project. For example: you’ve created a music festival landing page and offer visitors tickets. Your End Users’ payment information may be processed via Third-Party Payment Processors with which you integrate your account, in accordance with such Payment Processors’ terms and policies. We transmit your End Users’ complete payment information only so that we can pass it along to the Payment Processors you agree to use. We do not collect or store your End Users’ payment information.

This policy applies to visitors of users of Storied Cloud's solutions at cloud.storied.co, visitors of storied.co, Storied customers, visitors of websites you build in Storied (collectively, “you”), and is published by “us,” ”we,” Subatomic Systems, Inc., d/b/a Storied ("Storied"). Ceros adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles, and its certification with the E.U.-U.S. Privacy Shield program can be verified at www.privacyshield.gov. We commit to protect all personal data that we receive from persons in the European Union in accordance with the Privacy Shield Principles.

We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples may include providing technical assistance, customer service, and marketing assistance. These other companies will have access to the minimum amount of Personal Information about you, only as necessary to perform their functions and to the extent permitted by law. Retention of your personal information

Ceros, Inc. has committed to cooperate with the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) with regard to unresolved Privacy Shield complaints concerning human resources data transferred from the EU in the context of the employment relationship.
